New York, NY—November 19, 2015

F4335031-0B4D-49EE-A982-42357079D72CForever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing (GCP), a division of Hachette Book Group, and Orion Books UK, a division of Hachette UK, have acquired the world English rights from Andrea Barzvi of Empire Literary for two new novels by Jodi Ellen Malpas, #1 New York Times author of the This Man and One Night erotic romance trilogies.  At GCP, Beth de Guzman, VP, Digital and Paperback Publisher, acquired World English rights with Forever Editorial Director Leah Hultenschmidt editing.  At Orion, Laura Gerrard, Commissioning Editor, acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights.  Hachette Audio will also publish both titles in audiobook format.

All six of Malpas’ previously published novels have hit the New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller lists, and her work is published in over 20 languages across the world.

Malpas quickly became a self-publishing phenomenon with the release of This Man and Beneath This Man, which sold 250,000 copies and led to a major six-figure publishing deal.

The Protector, scheduled for a September 2016 release in trade paperback, ebook and audio, will be Malpas’ first standalone novel.  It features an ex-British special forces sniper hired as a bodyguard when a young heiress finds herself in jeopardy.

“It’s so exciting to continue to publish Jodi Ellen Malpas in the U.S., and I am filled with heady anticipation for all the emotion and passion she will be packing into each of her new, complete stories,” said deGuzman.

“I’m thrilled to have acquired more from Jodi Ellen Malpas. Jodi has a wonderful talent for creating characters that completely capture the hearts of so many readers and I can’t wait to find out what else she has in store for her fans,” said Gerrard.

“I am so proud to be Jodi’s agent. She is an author who truly cares about her fans. Every word she writes, she writes for them, and I’m confident they are once again going to fall in love with the characters and the plot she’s created in her first stand-alone novel. This book was worth the wait!” said Barzvi.
