Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London’s soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But, when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable.
When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia’s life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soul mate.
Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia’s grief begins to lift—but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her.
But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?

con·nect·ed

1.  united, joined, or linked.
2.  having a connection.
3.  joined together in sequence; linked coherently: connected ideas.

What can I say about Connected by Kim Karr…..WOW blew me away.  This is a story about love, loss and love again.  It shows the Connection of two individuals, Dahlia and River (swoon) who were meant to be  with a connection so great that after the chance meeting years prior they are still connected strongly.  Dahlia is a girl who has lost so much in life but has her rock Ben by her side.  But a chance meeting with an up and coming rock star River Wilde has her feeling something she never imagined.
“My hand was on fire, my ear scorching; I should have dressed up as the Wicked Witch of the West because not only was I pure evil, I was melting”
“As we walked away I found myself thinking I had just met the most enchanting guy and knowing that I might never be the same”
Fast forward a few years, a broken Dahlia connects with River again.  Sent out to interview the now famous River Wilde Dahlia wonders if the connection is still there.  Will he even remember her.  Oh boy does he….
“But it wasn’t just a kiss.  It was so much more.  When our tongues met, it felt like our souls connected with each other as they passed through each other’s mouths.”
“Beautiful girl, of course I remember you.  How could I not?  You’re unforgettable”
River Wilde is just plain hot and perfect.  He is sensitive, sexy and what every girl needs in her book boyfriend.  He has moved to the top of my list and I will fight any one of you for him.
Dahlia, I love her character.  With every bad card she has been dealt in life, she has emerged stronger each time.  She may take time to find that strength, but in the end she always finds it.
This is a beautifully written story that revolves around music.  I love that.  Each chapter references a set of songs and you can listen to the entire playlist on www.authorkimkarr.com.  It is amazing to read and listen at the same time.
I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I threw my Kindle (true story) .  This is a definite 5***** read and if you have not read it, do so now.  Be prepared, you might throw things at the end……but there will be a book two Torn, coming Fall 2013.

TEASER:

Suddenly, he jerked me toward him so I slammed against his chest.  He wrapped one arm around me while I felt his hand hold my chin so I’d look at him.  “Would you please just shut up?” he asked then he crushed his mouth to mine.

I didn’t move, I was so shocked.  Ethan moved his mouth over mine seductively, teasing me with his tongue gliding over my lips.  I sighed at his touch and opened my mouth, granting him access.  He took advantage and drove his tongue inside, swirling it around mine.  I shoved my hands in his hair and returned his kiss, doing exactly to him what he was doing to me.

He moved his hands down to my hips, suddenly turning me over so I was laying on the couch and he was on top of me.  He left my lips and started leaving a hot trail of kisses down my neck.  I lifted my neck to give him easier access and he kept going lower, reaching my collarbone.  He kissed from one side to the other, going back up my neck and reaching my lips again.  I put my hands behind his head and pulled him closer, loving the way his kisses made me feel.

Bitch #3 — Camryn

Girl-Reading1Hey everyone! Camryn here, AKA Bridger Bitch #3! ;-)

I grew up with a mom and dad that loved to read, to themselves and also to us, so its seems only fitting that I grew up loving books. For me reading has always been somewhat magical, I can read the same book twice, and depending on my mood the book is always different.         When I was 12 I saw a cute boy dancing and told my friends that one day I was going to marry him, 7 years later I really did marry him and now we have 3 great kids together… I have been fortunate enough to pass my love for books on to them.

I used to read what major book stores suggested and truly enjoyed myself, thanks to Facebook, bloggers, and my best friends I have totally fallen in love with Indie authors. It’s so exciting to follow an authors work from being self published and passionate to being picked up by publishing houses for the talent we all got to see ‘before they were famous’. The Reunion by Elizabeth Aloe was the first book I read that was self published… I like to blame (or thank) her for getting me hooked!

I am so excited to finally have this blog going to share with all of you the amazing books I am lucky enough to live vicariously through. And how awesome is it that I get to do this with my two best friends and next door neighbors! So now, sit back, relax, and enjoy our blog!

Much love – Cam

Bitch #2 — Harper

ReadingGirlHello, my name is Harper. I am 28 years old (Yes, I am the baby of the group) California girl, married, working mom to a momma’s boy and a very independent daughter :) Once I grew up, got married and moved on Bridger Street I found my 2 sista’s from another motha! I never thought moving to start my own family would take me on a path to meet 2 of the greatest people I know! Most people don’t get along with their neighbors and here I am making Best Friends out of mine! (I know you’re jealous, hehe)

Growing up I wasn’t big on reading (actually hated it, I know what was I thinking?!?!)

Now these 2 Bitches on the other hand have always loved reading (I gave them so much shit for it).  Eventually I started getting caught up in their conversations about Book Boyfriends and I got intrigued. I wanted to read about Rock stars, Millionaires, all of these sexy men!?! So for the past year I have been HOOKED!

Our husbands think we are crazy. Hanging out to us normally ends up meaning. Lights out, blankets on, cuddle up with our Kindles! Soon enough you will hear a laugh from one Bitch and then a sniffle from another then the last one yelling “What, there is no way that is the ending!! When does the next book come out??” (Cliffhangers will be the death of me one day!)

We review the books to with each other and figured hey, let’s help these authors out and spread the word to others about how great their books are. Can’t wait to start a fabulous relationship with all of you! Let the reviewing begin!!
