Everything was covered with trees and forest, but then we got a view of a mansion.

It looked like a castle, and my eyes couldn’t help but go wide. Whose was this?
And then the front door opened, and I jerked forward in the seat. My seatbelt tightened and I was shoved back, but I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t close my mouth. Everything stopped in that moment.

When we slid to a stop and the lawyers got out of the car, I was slower. My body had trouble moving and my legs were stiff. My arms shook and my heart raced as I pulled myself up outside the car. I had to hold onto it or I would’ve fallen. I heard my knees knocking against each other. I couldn’t feel them, but I heard them.

“Hello, Sheldon.”

The man before me was in his forties. He was dressed in a black business suit, which fit him like a glove, and he gazed back at me. He waited for my reaction. There were no words.

“Dad?”

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

review 2I freaking LOVED this book!!!  I loved the characters, the chemistry and the storyline.  Hollywood stars are always going to be fun to read but Anders was exceptionally fun to read about.  In all honesty most of the time he was a pretentious jerk but you still loved him. And Josie was so strong and feisty, I just loved her.  I loved the push/pull of the relationship, the witty banter and the smoking hot sex.  This book was the total package!! Olivia Evans really knocked it out of the park with this one and set the standard very high for her future books and I will be first in line to one click away!!

review 1Tina Reber is an all time favorite of mine.  She was one of the early authors that introduced me into this wonderful world of indie.  I remember staying up half the night reading some stupid romance  (Love Unscripted) that I couldn’t put down.  I always read mysteries and thrillers and romance was such a new genre to me.  Never thought I would like romance books but this helped me fall in love with them.  So when the little email popped into my inbox giving me the opportunity to review Tina’s much anticipated Jacked, I may of squealed a little….out loud….at work.  My coworkers already know I’m a little crazy, this just solidified it.  Jacked was everything I hoped it would be and more.  I love that Tina writes big books that take a little time to read.  I LOVED Adam and Erin!!  They were so much fun to read and had amazing chemistry.  This book had it all, mystery, intrigue, OMG who done it moments, deliciously sexy sex and characters you will fall in love with!! I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the Trent Brothers in this series!!

review 1I have to say I was anxiously awaiting for this book after the monster cliffhanger of Storm Warning.  I NEEDED to know what happened.  Lets just say that I was very sad with the outcome and it is really difficult to review without spoiling the secrets!  I knew going in that one person was not going to survive and I knew going in I probably wasn’t go to like who doesn’t.  I mean how can you pick between the 5.  The story starts off with a bang and although it was a little slow in the middle I still wanted to keep trucking along because I just love all the characters and really wanted to see what was going to happen.  It does pick up in the end and really was a solid read.  There also are some unexpected moments that I never saw coming, which is always fun for me.  All in all this is a great little series, but be warned the storm is not over.  Lets just say I desperately need book 3.

I’d always heard that your entire life flashes before your eyes right before you die. Now, I can honestly say that it’s true. Well, almost true. It’s more like your mind flips through a mental photo album of all the things you’d done and the people you’d met—a birthday party, the first time you drove, someone’s face when you told them they’d never be as pretty as you, your mother’s reprimanding glare when you didn’t win the pageant title you were supposed to, you as a little girl waiting on the front steps for your father to come home—it’s all there. The good, the bad, the ugly. All of it.

You can try to focus on the good—like the face of the person you loved—but it’s no use. Whether you want to or not, you see it all. It must be God’s way of letting you see what he saw so you aren’t surprised when you end up on the other side in Hell. Which is exactly where I’d assumed I’d just booked a first class ticket too.

I was too weak to fight it—to argue that I was in fact a good person—once the storm decided that I was going to be one of its victims, there was nothing I could do but try to hold on to the face of the one person I was sure I’d never see again.

Served me right. I shouldn’t have waited to tell him how I felt. I should have told him the moment I felt it. The moment I realized that despite what I’d done in my past, I was a better person just for loving him.

As the darkness and quiet started to surround me, I knew that it was too late to beg for forgiveness now. Instead, I just closed my eyes and prayed for mercy.

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany… I should write a book. And I did it!
