People say the youngest child has it easy, but

nothing can be further from the truth. Unlike my two sisters, Violet and Lily,

I’m never in the limelight. I just work my butt off for Fleur Cosmetics and get

little to no thanks for it. I’ve been pushed too far one too many times, and

I’m finally brave enough to do something about it.

Maybe my newfound courage has something to do

with the amazing pink and white diamond necklace I wear to the party in Cannes.

The instant those dazzling heirloom jewels touch my skin, they excite some

deep, aching need inside. And when that guy—that totally gorgeous guy—locks

eyes with me, I know this nice girl is going to be naughty.

For once it’s my turn. My turn to say no to my

father, to outshine my sisters, to walk away from it all—straight into the arms

of a mysterious stranger. But what if Caden is much more than I bargained for?

Sure, he makes me feel sexy and free in a way I never have before, but there’s

something else I can’t quite place—something dangerous. Maybe our “chance”

meeting wasn’t so random. Maybe he was looking for me for a reason. Whatever

his motive, there’s no going back now.

And maybe I don’t want to.

Monica’s Five Favorite Quotes from Stealing Rose

I had a lot of fun writing Rose and Caden’s story for STEALING ROSE. After the intensity known as Ryder McKay (my hero from OWNING VIOLET), I needed a lighter hero. A guy who might have problems, but isn’t as brooding and dark as Ryder.

Enter Caden Kingsley. He’s gorgeous, funny, has a bit of a dark side and is a dirty talker. I loved him. I still love him. I don’t like to play favorites but I think he might be my favorite guy out of all three books. Not that I don’t love Ryder or Max (wait until you all meet Max! Lord have mercy, the man is sexy), but Caden has a special place in my heart.

Let me share with you a few of my favorite quotes from STEALING ROSE. They almost all come out of Caden’s mouth or head, or are about Caden. Here we go…

“Are you wearing panties?”

Rose slowly shakes her head, sinking her teeth into her plump lower lip.

“Consistent, aren’t you,” I murmur.

(I love the above quote because the first time they met, she wasn’t wearing panties either. I always feel like Caden’s amused. Like he doesn’t try to take life so damn seriously, even though life has thrown him some wicked curveballs)

“I’d say you’re probably lying, thinking you can get in my panties,” I throw back at him. I’m just saying this out of spite, feeling defensive. I have no idea if he really is lying or not.

“You don’t usually wear panties,” he drawls, and I want to punch him.

Or kiss him. Take your pick.

(Again with the panties, but I love this exchange between Rose and Caden)

“I guess my growling was good enough.”

Her eyes sparkle with amusement. “I thought it was kind of sexy.”

“Oh yeah? You like it when I growl?” She can’t be serious. That smile on her pretty face is telling me she’s making fun of me, but you never know with Rose. She’s a constant surprise. A dirty, naughty, fun, extremely sexy surprise.

(I talk about my characters like I have no control over them, but I feel like I don’t. Like they’re real people who do whatever they want. And I was surprised by Rose too, and just as surprised as Caden. That’s why I included this quote.)

She pulls a black lace bra from the drawer and hooks it on. I could spend a lifetime watching her get dressed and never get bored.

(This was a moment for Caden where he realizes that he really cares for Rose, beyond just being sexually attracted to her. Where he realizes that he could do the most mundane things with Rose and still want her by his side.)

You stole my heart, Ro. I may be the professional, but with us, you’re the thief.

(I can’t reveal exactly what this is from but I think it says exactly what the story is about. Caden may be the professional thief but Rose is the one who stole his heart. And that never happened with Caden before. I love these two together!)

I hope you check out Caden and Rose in STEALING ROSE, out now!
