Dani refuses to lose another parent due to her absence from their life. After pulling herself back together following the death of her father, she moves back to her childhood town to live with her mom. First I have to say that I LOVE Erika Ashby!! I have loved every book by Erika so far so this is a difficult review for me to write. This book was just ok for me. It started off good but somewhere in the middle it just didnt do it for me anymore. BUT it does have a kick ass Epilougue that left me feeling a little bit better. I LOVED Holden!! Dani was just ok for me and Gage rubbed me wrong from the very beginning. I liked the chemistry between Dani and Holden from the start, but towards the middle the insa -love didnt sit right with me. I felt at times the conflict resolutions were just to easy. It just wasnt realistic to me. Also there were times when Holden and Dani gave up to easy. I wanted them to fight for each other. I will say that Holden disappears from the book for awhile and that just didnt seem right. I still wanted to know what he was feeling while he was gone. BUT like I said the epilogue was fantastic and really finished the book strong. All in all this was just ok for me. But Erika, pleas know that I love you and your work and look forward to reading more from you.
