Life doesn’t look like it’s supposed to for Daniela, aka Dani. After a painful break-up with Rick, Dani decides she doesn’t want to deal with the hassles of relationship.

After almost two years, Dani’s friends stage an intervention, forcing her out of her holding pattern and back into the real world of dating.

Liam, a down to earth firefighter, may be just the person to show her she’s still worth something. Their chemistry is instant and electric. But will Dani be able to trust her patched-up heart with him?

And what will happen when Rick decides he’ll go to any lengths to get her back?

~ Review ~

WOW!! The Do Over was such an amazing debut novel by AL Zaun!!  I was sucked in from the beginning (which doesn’t always happen) and could not wait to see where the story went.  Dani was such a relatable character.  I LOVED her Kindle obsession (and yes I do own multiple Kindles too) and her love of romance stories.  Unfortunately she lost herself in the romance stories to protect her heart from breaking again. Dani has two best friends (like me) who are the BEST (like mine) and support her in everyway possible, except when they try and stage a Kindle intervention (mine would NEVER do that, they are just as addicted as I am). What more could a girl want, two great friends and a Kindle full of possibilities.  Dani’s friends show her that she does not have everything she needs, she is stuck in her fantasy world and not really living. Then Dani meets an AMAZINGLY HOT firefighter, and boy do I love a good firefighter!!  Liam is amazing and right up there at the top of my book boyfriend list.  He is almost to good to be a book boyfriend, he’s more book husband material.  He is kind, loving, strong, emotional and loves Dani in the most amazing way.  Unfortunately there are outside factors trying to sabotage Dani and Liam.  Rick, Dani’s ex and total douche, want Dani back and will stop at nothing to get her. The Do Over was such a great story, filled with so many emotions. I laughed, I cried and I almost threw my beloved Kindle. As much as I loved Dani there were times I wanted to reach in a smack some sense into her. Rick, ugh I strongly disliked Rick and his partner in crime Madison (which at times I hated and pitied at the same time but I think there will be more to this story). Then Liam, swoon Liam in my eyes you could do no wrong.  All in all a solid 4.5 stars and an amazing debut for A.L.  Be warned this a long book but sooooo good!!  I can not wait to see what else A.L. has up her sleeve.
