The author did an awesome job telling Rhane’s story. In life some people come from money and others envy them because they believe money can bring happiness. In Rhanes case she gave up all of that to be with the man she loved and to be in a band and hopefully make it big one day. Just when Rhane thought everything couldn’t get any better, everything turns upside down for her. She loses the love of her life and she loses her voice that allowed her to follow her dreams to make it big in the music industry. Sometimes in life when your dream dies so quickly you feel like you will never be happy or be able to be fixed again. In life that is not the case at all. Lori showed us as readers that what we think should be our happy ending isn’t always what is meant for us in the end. Everything happens for a reason, even the bad things. I grew attached to Rhane and needed to know what was going to happen with her in the future. I was cheering her on through the book hoping she was going to get her happy ending.
