~ Review ~

♦Relentless♦

I read Relentless by Cassia Leo a couple months ago and immediately became a huge fan.  I was sucked in from the very first word until the very last and left wanting more Claire and Adam (Team Adam!!).  Claire is a broken girl with skeletons in her closet.  She doesn’t confide in anyone and had started using meditation as a crutch to get her through the day.  And then Adam comes along.  Adam is a laid back, pot smoking surfer dude that tries to get Claire to open up.  Little does she know that Adam has a few skeletons in his own closet.

“I guess that’s the way secrets are. They’re only heavy when you’re holding them. As soon as you let go, the significance of keeping those secrets hidden blows away and everything falls into place.”

I connected with Claire and Adam from the get go and really rooted for them.  But then Chris Knight enters the picture.  Gorgeous Rock Star (who doesn’t love a rock star, but hey I’m still Team Adam), who plays a very big role in Claire’s past. Without giving away the skeletons, just know that Claire has had to struggle with so much and even though she doesn’t see it, she is such a strong girl.

“With every choice you risk the life you could have had. With every decision you lose it.”  

Relentless was such a great read, the characters were so life like and it leaves you wanting so much more.  Who will Claire choose, the rock star from the past or the man who makes her realize she has a future.

♦Pieces of You♦

Pieces of You picks up right where Relentless left off.  Chris is very much wanting to reconcile with Claire and right the wrongs of their past.  Adam is still there loving Claire the only way he knows how. Unfortunately distance may stand in the way of Adam and Claire and Chris is just waiting for his chance.  Chris, Adam and Claire feel so real to me; they are not perfect, they are damaged, but they love with their whole hearts.  This book was hard for me, I absolutely loved it, but Chris AND Adam are such great guys that I felt torn so many times.  I felt like I was right there in Claire’s shoes with two amazing guys and the most difficult choice ever.  I felt like a ping pong ball….team Adam….team Chris…..team Adam…..team Chris.  I did want to throw my kindle at the end because I NEED to know who she chooses but I have to wait for book three for that.

Cassia Leo has moved me in so many ways with this series and I can not wait to see how it ends.  Her writing is flawless and the story is simply amazing.
