“Without trust, we have nothing.”
These are the words which have haunted Melanie Erickson for six years. When she walked out of the house Xavier Ross bought as their forever home, she thought she was closing that door permanently, but fate had other plans.
Xavier Ross tried to keep everyone at a distance until Melanie came into his life. The more he tried to fight his feelings for her, the more he fell in love. One rash decision fractured the trust that was essential to their relationship.
Six years later, she is the last person he expects to see walk through his front door. Will Xavier and Mel be able to learn to trust one another again so they can fulfill a dying woman’s wish?
REVIEW:
Sloan how do you do it!?!?!? Readers have you read any of her books? No well hurry your butt up and start reading!!! I am a huge fan of her Isthmus Alliance series and of course as soon as I seen that I had an opportunity to read one of her other books I jumped all over it! She is an author that I know I love her writing that I don’t even need to read the synopsis because I know she wont let me down! And of course with Fragile Bonds she didn’t let me down she went above and beyond in this book! I am sure that most of you readers have cried a time or two reading a book. Well be prepared because you will cry like a baby on more then one occasion. But I promise you the tears are worth it and there will be tears at the end of the book but happy tears!! It’s rare to find a book that you can’t think of anything you would want to be changed about it. I felt like Sloan gave me enough background story to understand the history and not feel lost. The fact that she gave us 3 POVs was amazing!! It was like she knew the right time her readers would want answers from another character and the next chapter would be Xavier’s POV, Alyssa’s POV, or Melanie’s POV. Sloan bravo to you and be proud of this story because you knocked it out of the park! I give this emotional book 5+ stars!
