I had the pleasure of interviewing KP and here is what she has to say:
Sophie: Kelly tells us a little bit about InkSlinger PR.
KP: InkSlinger PR exists to help authors get the word out about themselves and their titles. We value the importance of storytelling and those who tell those stories. That’s what we’re about and that won’t change.
Sophie: How did it get started?
KP: Have you ever had a moment in your life where you knew you had to do something and that you would never be completely right if you didn’t do it? That was me when it came to InkSlinger PR. I saw a need in the literary community and thought I could fill it-that I had to do it really-and then I couldn’t let go of that idea.
Sophie: What did you do before InkSlinger?
KP: I worked in Marketing and PR on the corporate side of things, and I was a music teacher. While doing both of those things, I also blogged a bit on one of my best friend’s book sites.
Sophie: How has it grown?
KP: A LOT! It’s amazing to see how InkSlinger PR has grown in the last 2 years. It’s gone from just me and a small list of clients that are fantastic to an entire team and a much bigger list of clients that are fantastic. I’m definitely living my dream.
Sophie: Where do you see InkSlinger going in the future?
KP: InkSlinger PR exists to help authors get the word out about themselves and their titles. We value the importance of storytelling and those who tell those stories. That’s what we’re about and that won’t change.
Sophie: Tell us a little bit about yourself
KP: Oh goodness…I’m a wife and a Mom of 3 boys first and foremost. I love music and reading of course. There are some people who would call me a workaholic (just ask my assistant, Jessica), but the truth is, when you love what you do as much as I do, it doesn’t feel like a job. It feels like a dream. I love to write-especially picture books-and am represented by Danielle Smith at Foreword Literary Agency. I also love to cook, but not bake.
Thank you so much for having me on your site today!

I love KP! I was thrilled to get a chance to actually meet her at an author event in Richmond, VA earlier in December.
