After graduating from the University of South Alabama, Scarlett Moore discovers her boyfriend of five months is actually married with a child on the way. Feeling used and heartbroken, she decides it’s time to take her best friend Jules’ advice to move to Atlanta and live with her. There, Jules helps her get a job at Entertainment Atlanta, where she works as an entertainment insurance agent. It’s not Scarlett’s dream job, but it’s better than not having a job at all, and who wouldn’t mind working with famous people, right?
Then she gets assigned to EA’s newest client, Kade Evans, rock star turned actor. Not only is he a drug addict, he’s also known for never dating the same girl twice. He’s tall, dark, and handsome, has an amazing voice, and good acting skills, but he’s also arrogant and intense.
At their first meeting, the chemistry between them is undeniable.
The love that comes later is unexpected.
But Kade’s life is full of secrets. His past has now intruded on his present and when Scarlett finds out what his secrets are, the real deception begins.

~ Review ~
I was intrigued with the synopsis of this book when I first read it. J.M. did not leave me disappointed. I loved this story! Scarlett had a tough childhood who was determined to have a better adulthood. Her mom blamed her for her father leaving and always made sure to remind Scarlett how worthless she was. being so sucked into college to make sure she got a good degree to move out of Alabama she met Trey who made her feel loved because he was her first boyfriend. When months into the relationships she realizes he has baggage she know she needs to really leave Alabama and join her best friend Jules in Atlanta and start fresh. But what Scarlett doesn’t understand just because you leave one problem doesn’t mean another problem wont start.
One night dancing away Scarlett finds herself dancing with this HAWT guy that had her hypnotized. Not getting his name and talking to him after they danced she comes to find out he was Kade Evans a smoking hawt rocker. She feels such a connection with him that she can’t get him off her mind. Working for and entertainment insurance co. she is caught off guard when she finds out that Kade has requested Scarlett to be his agent.
Kade Evans also had a very rough childhood and has his own demons in the closet. But non of that matters because they make each other feel complete.

Will Kade’s demons catch up to him? Will he be lifeless forever? Will Scarlett be able to handle his secrets?
There was a twist in this book and I loved it. It made me wanting more from the second book NOW! I give this book 4.5 stars!
